so i have managed to stay on track with workouts, but not so much on the diet side. although i eat healthy i usually end up adding more food than necessary(binge eating) healthy or unhealthy. i came to this decsion just now, to write down a diet journal so i an see what i do wrong. not only that but i could use the motivation, if i achieve something like completing planned meals without unplanned additions, im usually satisfied and in a better mood to hit the books (another issue im having now) and not procastinate as much. this is turning out to be more than a diet journal.
I will do this for one month and take some pics.

planned meals for today are (todays b/c its 1 AM, i was doing homework =/)...
4/25/11
(check)*1 cup of Kashi Honey Almond Cereal (200 cals) + 2% milk + apple + Multivitamin
(check)*1 apple + south beach prtein bar (140 cals)
(check)*chicken breast + brocolli + peppers + tomatoes + piece of bread (from the bakery, its white but it only has like 5-7 ingridient unlike most breads)
(check)*chicken breas + brocolli + onions +scallions + apple or yogurt (120 cals)

had the same thing with just some added on vegetables

/////i think i know why this happens, because its not the first time it occrs. i had let self get hungry and just thought i needed more (i guess common instinct)
also i sat down to watch a soccer game and out of the excitement i felt like i had to eat lol

i ate everything accordingly except lunch, for which i had clam chowder and it was arround 300-400 cal but....
i went out with friends and got back home really late and then munched on what was around =/

i did not eat balanced meals but i didnt exceed the calories neither, as matter of fact i was starting to get nauseaus because i hadnt eaten; so i ate,buuut i went out with girlfriend and had a slice of pizza, and then i had another which i shared with her, we also had some chocolate candy bars, which we shared.

***summary of the week
i had some not so good days =( but i can only keep trying and trying... until i reach goal because this is something i want!

got home, had 3 slices of bread + peanut butters + milk
i guess found weak spot, i tend to eat extra when i don't eat meals in order, or when i come home late =/
tomorrow(or today rather) is a new day =]
looking for less mistakes, and little by litle il get there.

meals went accodingly, had some sort of knutbar because i was hungry and i didnt eat till i got home, did some jumorope for 10 mins, then i had a small orange + banana, and for dinner 2 eggs + chicken soup. thats it for tonight, looking forward to making less mistakes this week, and after that even less, and so on till eventually i hope to adapt =]
5/3/11
ate everything like i was supposed to
meal1: cereal + milk + orange(70-100 cals)
meal2: chicken + brocolli + peppers(red and yellow)
meal3: south beach protein bar (140) + apple
meal4: steak + brocolli + potatoe chips
i worked out today and when i got home i had 1 scoop of protein shake + small croissant
good day

meal 1: 2 eggs + slice of whole grain bread
meal 2: apple + protein bar
meal3: fish + onions + brocolli + tomato
meal4: fish + brocolli + some chips
i felt sot of hungry at some points because it wasnt really a big piece of fish (plus low cals)

meal 1: cereal + milk
meal2: apple + protein bar
meal3:chicken + carrots + onion + peppers
meal4: i think i had fish, well either way i didnt complain about this day bc i did everything with no extras, but no less either

terrible day, i felt tired sleepy, i had planned breakfast but in the morning i saw some pound cake and i had some, then after that it went down hill =(
when i got to college i had a large coffee + a muffin
then for lunch i had a bag of butter peacan cookies + chocolate chip. after that on the way back home we stopped at subway, and i had a kids meal which was 1/4 of a sub with 2 slices of turkey and 2 trinagle slices of swiss, t was really small but its the extras that contain the most calories, it cam with a juice box + bag of apple slices + 3 cookies(i would say medim size). then i got home and had some more pound cake + yogurt + minibagel w/PB + milk. aaaaah =[.
tomorrow is gym day, hope to get confidence up, specially when i think i am competing with someone =o

half of last week up till now have been terrible.
its finals week and i haven't been paying attention at all to diet, i have gotten much sleep at all 3 - 4 hours, but today is the lastday of exams for me, and im back on track. i am deciding to just write down these entries on a personal journal. however, i am still impressed that wrting down what i eat really helps, mainly because i am always thinking to write something positive down, so its always in mind and quite aware that i should becarfull with what i eat. k.

Good luck with the exams and try not to let things get to you you much okay :).

Strong positive thoughts and optimisim about yor future. Be proud of continuing to train hard and eat properly, because it looks like you're doing a great job and you're a good guy who deserves to achieves things and it's great to see you progressing well in life.

Be proud of yourself and stay lucky fella :).
