Importance of a good warm-up

Post by danbinder »

Hi All -
I am new to the forum but more often that not I find myself in the strength training section looking for what is working for other users. Based on workout earlier this morning I realized that there is something that comes before any good strength training workout and that is, a good warm up / stretching session. Today i was runnign a little behind so I did the very basics before getting into a squat / bench press superset. While I don't think I did any damage to body I just didn't feel loose and the sets/reps seemed a bit more difficult than usual. In reflecting on it afterwards I realized that I need to make time for the warm up regardless of the situation. As I have started to blog about daily fitness activity, I decided to make this post today. Check it out if you have a chance. http://distinctfitness.blogspot.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Look forward to hearing your thoughts and what you do to get ready for a good workout!

Have a good day!

For me, the older I get, it seems the warm up gets more important. I suppose the reason I need to warm up now is I abused body when i was younger. Damnit!

How much of your body did you abuse? Some of it or all of it? :wink:
