Benadryl could knock out a horse! That's the worst for side effects, but it does the job so take it until they tell you to stop!

gym workout this a.m.:

30 min. elliptical intervals

Felt good during the workout, then went over to do some captains chair leg lifts and after the first set of 12 I thought i was gonna pass out - heart was beating so hard and fast and I felt very woozy. Couldn't do the second set. When I got home I did break out in a few patches of hives... not too bad, but disarming to say the least. I'm ready to be over this!!!

Still look and feel a bit bloated and swollen (not sure if it's all from the meds.)
weighed this morning: up 2.2 lbs. ....sigh :| the fight is never ending.

Thanks Becky.

Brought lunch today, but didn't really want it, went to the grocery store, waited in line at the cafeteria - just about to order a fried butterfly shrimp dinner, suddenly left the line, went and bought an avocado, went back to work and ate what I brought, adding 1/2 an avocado to it.
Lunch:
grilled chicken breast
sliced (home grown) garden tomato
1/2 avocado sliced
4 oz. 2% LF cottage cheese
little salt and pepper - wala! lunch.
(figured I saved myself about 30 fat grams and an extra 600 to 700 calories of nothing good).
kept thinking about that 2.2 lbs......
I call that a victory!

Yes, I did feel better about the choice. Proud actually. It's the little victories in life that make us stronger.

Did not workout this a.m. Woke up at 3:30 a.m. with a severe headache, back of head and behind eyes, tried to go back to sleep. Took 3 advil at 5:15 a.m., it is now 7 a.m. and am finally getting a little relief - it's still there but dulled a bit. I began tapering off the prednisone yesterday, and I think I am having some side effects from that. I hope I don't ever have to take that stuff again! I'm not used to being on any kind of medication, it really messes up system.

Hope to get back to "normal" next week. This week has not been the best. :?
