Today is actually a little cooler...only 100.5 right now.
There are Romanian Deadlifts, when you bend at the waist and keep the Barbell low, then go back to perpendicular.
If you do the same thing with the barbell on your Neck that's Good Mornings.
However if the trainer did the standard ones, with bent Knees, backside sticking out, then yes the other peoples form would have been out and he should have corrected it. That is unless he banged out a few good ones to highlight their mistakes perhaps?
Then he would be giving them visual cues on good technique, instead of trying to explain it and see if they get it.
Sometimes it's easier to demonstrate something than talk about it.
Did a second workout last night:
6.5 mile trail bike ride - I am quickly becoming addicted to the sport of trail racing. The trail I ride is very primitive dirt narrow path that winds through a forest. Some parts of the trail go between trees with no more than an inch or so on each side of the handlebars. The people I ride with are fast, and it is an adrenaline filled, edge of your seat kind of ride. No time for mistakes = love it!!!!
Well....I thought it might be time for a few update pics. Can't wait forever to be the "perfect" size. Just thought I would get some insight from you guys on how I'm doing, where I can improve. I've got the muscle...just need to carve off the fat. That's the hardest part for me, because that is all about diet - and that is where I falter.
those bike trails sound fun but i so would crash i think. Sounds like you really enjoy it and that's all that matters.

I'm not much help on how you can improve. I think just keep doing what your doing. I wish i was more helpful. Diet i think is the hardest part for most people. You look great! I can really see some definition in your arms and it's lookin good!!!!
Just stick with what you're doing and it should workout in the end.
Too many people flit from one method to another and it ends up leaving some people perpetually faltering with physical change, because they don't give certain things a long enough try, or instead of making small tweaks, the changes made are wholesale, so the individual can sometimes be close to a solid method of progress, then make sweeping changes and completely end up in scenario where little will happen.
So I think it is safe to say you are officially out of your slump
You can have the trail riding, I will pass! Great for you, though! I am terrified of being on a bike so that's not something I could do. I will jump out of a plane any day, but I won't do that

ya think? Yes, the slump has passed. I really feel like I go through emotional highs and lows - maybe it's pre menopausal hormones (or lack thereof) causing it!
I've been reading about the symptoms of menopause...weight gain, moodiness, irritability, bloating.......heck, that's just a normal Monday for me, bwahahahaha!!
Today's workout:
.5 mile indoor track warmup. Went outside to the trail and ran 2 miles. Came back into the gym and finished up with a .5 mile elliptical cooldown. No time for weights.
Hey lynne, you had asked about veggie burgers in journal. I talked (email) sister about the veggie burgers and she i guess hadn't tried morning star (same brand burger king uses). She thought she had but she hadn't. And than she realized she had some morningstar veggie burgers in her freezer, or fridge today. So she made some today with an online recipe that added things too it and she said you have to bake them not grill but that they turned out great baked in the oven. You asked so i thought i would mention it to you. I see her this weekend and will ask her more details about the recipe and how it tastes. This is all through email. But i guess there is hope after all for the veggie burger.
4 mile trail run - had a bad fall while running (toe caught a root and I went airborne!) but got back up and kept going. 6.5 mile trail bike - again, took a spill off the bike (handlebar clipped a tree, then I over corrected and lost control, went down hard)
a little banged up and bruised, but I'll be fine. Still loved every second of it. What a great way to burn some major calories and get a total body workout!
Actually i spoke too soon about those veggie burgers Lynne. I misunderstood her email. She made her own and liked them she hasn't tried the morning star ones yet. Sorry.
Glad your really enjoying your trail rides! Be careful it sounds a little scary but glad you like it. Maybe you should do a mountain bike race??
I haven't bought any yet. I'm thinking a nice grilled portabella mushroom topped with some fresh sliced avocado would make a better burger. Yum!
