Help me schedule a workout routine?
I'm 5'6'' and 150lb, which I consider a bit overweight. I'd like to start exercising, but I don't want to get bigger. I just want to burn away the fat (especially around abdomen), increase strength/endurance, and build lean muscle. goal is to tone up physique and look cut. Can someone recommend the exercises and weekly routines I should be doing?

What does your diet consist of? If you are just starting to exercise and want to get toned then start by performing body weight exercises. Squats, lunges, push ups, and pull ups. You can not spot train so don't worry about the abs yet. Now the exercises I suggested can be performed 2 times a week to failure. Alternate a lower body (squat) by an upper body (push up) the lunges, then pull ups. If you can't do regular push ups, put your hands on the arm of your couch or a bench. If you can't do pull ups hold on to a smith machine with your back parallel to the floor or slightly higher.
If you eat fast food or processed foods (packaged, long shelf life) you need to stop. If food can be left out for a week or 2 and never spoils, do you think you will get any nutrients from it?
