Need to loose the fat!
So I am new to these forums and would like to introduce myself. name is Eddie and I am from Southern California. I used to weight about 378 pounds, but have lost nearly fifty pounds in 10 months. I find that to be impressive, but a huge thing for me now is ..of course it got smaller, but it hangs and looks nasty..I want to know why is this turning out like this? Is it something that has to be surgically removed or more diet and exercise?
Re: Need to loose the fat!
Congrats Eddie!
50lbs is a lot in 10months! How did you do it? Sometimes when that happens, I believe you lost the weight too fast & your skin did not get a change to tight. So it is loose skin. I find controlling portion size for diet and working out with weights and cardio helps a ton. Surgically removal is an option but I think if you workout, in time it will help.

Re: Need to loose the fat!
Most likely it is lose skin and not fat at all. It may shrink or (hope not) you may need surgery to remove the excess skin. Just thoughts of course.
Re: Need to loose the fat!
Well what I actually did was change diet, Did not try and crash course, just simply lowered the portions of food in half. Then when things started adjusting I started to change diet and of course I was hitting the gym (5 times a Week). It was really amazing, but now I am stuck on workout and diet once again. This situation is really messing with me, because I know if I got to a surgeon..of course they will say yes, just because its $$$$$$ lol so...idk

Re: Need to loose the fat!
Just like losing weight takes time, it will take time for the skin to shrink (if it does). Don't look at it as a negative but as a positive; flaunt it and say to everyone "hey man, look at baggy skin that use to be full of blubber but is now empty...SWEET!". Don't let it beat you, you are winning the fight right now so stick to your guns and worry about the cosmetics later.

Great job! You are doing good. Don't focus on the downers for now. You don't want to discourage yourself. Work on what you can now. When you get what your working on accomplished, then move on to the next area. You cann't do it all at once. Stay positive. Keep your skin oiled up. When you get out of the shower, grab your grease of choice. Vitimin E oil is good.Take vitimines that help your skin. Again vit.B,C and E. Drink plenty of water.Eat healthy foods. Give your skin all that you can, including time, and see what it does on it's on. When you get dressed, stop and take a moment to lock in how much better you look, how well the clothes are fitting. See the image you are now presenting to the world. Don't walk out the door with the image burning in your brain of the naked you if it discourages, you cause nobody else sees that but you. You should be proud. I don't even know you and I'm proud for you! Keep at it!
Re: Need to loose the fat!
Be proud of yourself and don't worry about possible loose skin issues. if the time comes you have to have a procedure then worry about that.
You're doing great and that's the most important thing, so WELL DONE and keep on believing in yourself man, because you ARE worth it

Congratulations! That is amazing, something to be very proud of! Don't worry about the loose skin, that is to be expected with such a big amount of weight loss!
A healthy diet, cardio, and core exercises could help to decrease that, yet in the end you might to have the excess skin removed. But it will be so worth it to have your health! Keep up the good work!
