Oxy Elite Pro- reviews?
Sooo- for everyone who is going to reply with "fat burners don't work- dont even buy it, etc..." I HAVE already bought it and I have been taking it for 3 days. I am just curious to know if anyone out there has had any positive results with it. friends husband lost about 30 lbs in 2 months on it (I don't know what else he was doing on top of the supp- but I do know that is way too much weight to lose in 2 months, and that is NOT goal for taking this product!) I have hit an absolute wall as far as weight loss goes. Every single morning, I either weigh 120.4 or 120.6. Hoping this product has helped someone else out there break that plateau

Helo again
.
Hopefully what I will say will come across in the honest, frank and supoportive way I mean it to
.
I will start by saying you're right, I would have commented in such a way as you described, I admit that, but then if I didn't comment in a way that promotes self awareness of product risk, or the potential to use costly or useless products and just commented in an apprently pro or neither for or against type way, I would feel I was neglecting your welfare and letting you take steps to change your body, I could neither endorse nor believe in.
So please understand that I cannot tell you what you might want to hear, because I do care about you, (that's the genuine truth) and I don't want to support any decision I believe may have the potential to hurt your health in the long-term, but I can tell you what I believe will be more worthwhile, if you are happy to indulge me
.
Building muscle is very metabolic. Another 1lb yields another 45-50 calories burned, so it's a great way to help trim a little excess fat in the mean time and at 120lbs I doubt you really need to do that to any extent, but the muscle build and associated positive effects on bone and connective tissue can last a lifetime and help you become and even more positive rolemodel to your little babs than you already are and I'm sure you already are a great Influence on your little daughter.
You look great and your little one is an absolute peach, so CONGRATULATIONS on your ability to carry, birth and Mother her for what must be around 15 months, from confirmation, through birth to now. I don't envy what you must have had to cope with through pregnancy, but I truly do admire you, for being strong enough not to just give up and believe you'd be useless like some do.
I can tell she is getting a great start in life, because you are one of those Mothers that has stuck by your little one and believed in you rown ability to parent children.
You both clearly deserve each other very much.
If you want to start working on strnegth condition as a way to trim a few last lbs of fat off, then manipulation of your diet will be a key thing, along with a small increase of water. I'd suggest another 2 glasses a day and see how that works out, beasue may find you need to slightly increase your calories to allow for the muscle building process and to create a healthy and sensible intake of calories.
I would say though, that anyone giving you feedback on your product, will be as much in the dark as the next person.
Yes they could tell you what side effects in any it created, but telling you how much more weight or how much more quickly weight got reduced, will be pure guesswork on their part, because other weight loss factors will end up being the prevalent factors, so the product would then become the "black sheep" of the process, the thing that potentially wasted their money and did nothing to facilitate any weight loss at all and bearing in mind that something that does not cause things like erratic heartbeat, jitters, Thyroid problems, stomach problems, etc is not necessarily something that works, just something that does less physical harm than other similar products of type.
If you would like to have myself or others give you more insight into how you might manipulate your diet and exercise to create any change you seek, I personally will be willing to do that when I have the time and hopefully you will find the things, we the community and you can work out together, will be a positive way forward and steps that can replace the product you chose.
I will reiterate though, that I cannot endorse such products, or pretend you're not taking them, because I would feel personally responsible for your wellbeing to endorse actions that might be costly or a possible long-term health risk, because even though you have just joined, I DO care about you and as you've shown a positive attitude to this forum and others, you've earned respect, care and support like anyone else does.
Hopefully as I said, you will understand where I'm coming from. I don't care about anybody more or less on this site and posting frequency or style is not an indicator of feelings towards people, so however much I care about you, it's as much as it would be anyone else
.
So if you would like further assistance regarding diet and exercis,e feel free to ask and please accept WARM WISHES regarding your future, the future of your relationship and that of your little angel as well
.

Re: Oxy Elite Pro- reviews?
thanks bossman- i would definitely be interested in hearing any ideas on how to break plateu!
Re: Oxy Elite Pro- reviews?
Okay what sort of weightlifting and Cardio do you do? Give us a rundown of a typical training week.
Also what meals do you eat and what times do you eat?
Be aware though that if you've been underdoing it a bit on the calories and would benefit from a moderate increase, your body may initially view many of the extra calories as excess and convert them to fat.
However this may not happen, but if so, coupled with the training and the bodies ability to function better on a more ideal intake, (assuming a caloric increase would be beneficial), you would more than likely get a weight increase that would be small and then go away, once the body had adjusted to what you were doing.
Right now your weight anyway is not a real issue at 120lbs, but if you could lose even another 5lbs of fat and then replace it with 5lbs of muscle, having that kind of compsition, would obviously be a little more beneficial for you, especially in the long-term
.
Hopefully when we the huddled masses
know how your training and diet pan out, we can help you progress from there
.
Though at least say you'll think about showing those pesky pills the bin

How tall are you? 120 is not a lot of weight. I know several people who have tried this product and overall they have had
positive results. Adjusting your eating habits seems to help you get better results with this. Good Luck

Re: Oxy Elite Pro- reviews?
Oxyelite Pro is an effective product. While I was at the Vitamin Shoppe I have seen no other fat-burner sell the way that it did. Many people swore by its appetite-reducing, calorie-burnining properties.
However, such a product should be taken with caution.
It is designed to do two things: Suppress your appetite.
Speed up your metabolism.
However it performs the latter by interfering with your thyroid hormones--T3 and T4. Long-term interference can impair your thyroids ability to maintain hormone levels.
It also contains geranium root, which has been banned in other countries, due to it's role in causing kidney failure.
If you or someone-else takes it, I highly advise cycling off of it for many months before taking it again.

That isn't really proof of effectiveness, it just proof the company managed to dupe more people with their marketing tricks, than other companies did, with their potentially equally useless versions of the same thing.Sunwarrior wrote:Oxyelite Pro is an effective product. I recently saw someone buying XLs medical and the tests on that are rubbish.
1. 5 men and 5 women, which is a poor cross-section, with normal BMI, the sort of people who are not your target market.
2. A double blind random placebo trial, done on an unstated amount of caucasians in Germany. Why germany, why only caucasians and why not disclose the numbers used.
Participants also were given a 2,500 calorie diet with 30% fat, which would help you lose weight anyway, as it's not the kind of diet that gets people fat in the first place.
The test was done for a pathetic 3 days.
Anything like that can potentially sell if you market it right, but that is no proof of effectiveness before anyone buys it, or during and after its use.
The problem is if people do things that can help to lose weight, the pills are undefinable in their effects, but if the person who was fat continued to be sedentary and eat and drink badly, then took pills they would isolate the effects and find out what those might actually be.
Also XLS medical says it could help you lose up to 3x more fat. The words "up to", sounds like an advertisement for broadband internet, so does this mean the further you are from the manufacturers facility, the less effective the product becomes?

Re: Oxy Elite Pro- reviews?
Wow. I wasn't even aware of how flawed the case studies were. I have seen other case studies that were flawed. Such as the trial for raspberry ketones. In that trial, they simply tested it on rats and determined the results were sufficient enough to sell it to the public.
Re: Oxy Elite Pro- reviews?
Rats and bees are a common medium for studies, rats in particular.
The XLS medical tests are on their website, as some kind of badge of honour, or moreso a badge of dishonour.
Many fat burning products are done with poor testing, or fake testimonies, or pictures of tanned cut people wearing sunglasses, that you are made to believe are the "after" photos, when they probably got some models in to fake the effects of a product.
One experiment on the appetite suppressant Hoodia threw up some concerns, like when a BBC journalist went to the Khalahari a few years ago and ate some around 4PM, then had a meal about 6PM.
Normally he would snack around 9PM but wasn't hungry.
In the morning he couldn't feel hunger for his breakfast and by 1PM he was forcing down some lunch, because he felt the effects of the Hoodia trying to suppress his hunger, but the need to eat was causing a situation, where he ate but didn't enjoy it, as he was fighting an urge to forgo Lunch.
So after that meal at 6PM the previous day, from 9PM onwards he would have had little to no remaining nutrition in his system and he didn't eat for 16 hours, which I think isn't good.
It was then revelaed that all but a brand called Phytopharm Hoodia, contained little to no Hoodia at all, so most Hoodia supplements were garbage. This may have changed since, but I've never seen anything credible to attest that more branded products of type have been released with credible amounts of ingredient in it.
It wouldn't matter if it did anyway, as I would never conscience reccomending it to anyone.
If you want to know how fat burning pills work, weigh obese people for a few weeks, to indentify how their weight behaves, then just give them pills. Don't let start any exercise or diet program, to effectively isolate effects.
Alternatively, get some people who have lost a bit of weight to put it all back on again, then replicate the exact same diet exercise and / or diet plan used before, but add pills.
Nobody would want to do that though, so people use proven weight loss tactics, throw pills in the mix, get results and claim the pills work, because it's easier to think they work, than admit they are rubbish and did little to nothing, as that would hurt and make someone potentially feel stupid and guillable.

Re: Oxy Elite Pro- reviews?
I didn't know hoodia was THAT effective at suppressing the appetite.
But I see what you mean by people missing on nutrition because of that. Personally I think that people trying to lose weight should just go the natural route and change either their diet and/or exercise habits. There are far to many weightless products on the market with problems to sort through them to find ones that are safe and effective. In the end, It all comes down to diet. The people who know this are the ones who don't have a problem losing weight or maintaining their weight.
