Aiming for a six pack by october

Post by crusher966 »

Well I started goal of a six pack. So far I run 5 times a week usally between 3-6 miles a day and usally have about 1550-1675 calories a day do chest and bicep workouts opposing days. I also do crunches and leg lifts every other day. I am 5ft 8 in and weigh 164lbs. Do any of you have any recommendations to help decrease the time?

Hi there,

i too want a proper 6pack, ive learnt that if u sit in the seated posistion but have ur body not on the floor but i bit higher and do crouches u will feel the burn and presure after about 5-6 reps

i found this out when i was watching teleshopping early in the morning where it had this ab machine thing. no need to spend 70-80 quid on a machine wen u can do it urself, goodluck :)

There's plenty of things you can do, like Reverse Crunches, Leg Raises, Planks, Side Twists, Roman chairs etc etc.

As for Ab machines / devices on a teleshopping channel, they are total pish. I wouldn't want one if they gave me one and the money as well .

One more thing. I am also under the impression body fat percentage is the most important thing to get a six pack. Am I mistaken?

Fat Percentage is very relevant to 6-pac visability, as is lack of water retention, so low Fat coverage on the Abdominals, could still be hampered if Salt intake was too high, retaining water.

This is when people will try to sell you things in magazines like Taraxtone, where some buff Black guy is sulking, then in three days he's smiling, because his 6-pac is showing and his water retention has dissapeared.

Yeah whateverrrr.

However condition is more important. Core condition first, visability second. What's the point having a visable 6-pac, if you get badly winded bumping into a door.

As for Roman Chairs,

1. You need two hand grips on some sort of frame.

2. Arms in two L shapes.

3. Raise the Legs up until the Knees are at right angles.

4. Lower back down then repeat for reps.
