New here need some advice

Post by Brandon228 »

So i've started working on burning fat in mid may, by walking and running so far i've lost about ten pounds from 197 to 187 but the last two weeks I had some difficulty with weight fluctuation. Anyways this week I've Started to change it and incorporate some jump rope into excercise regime, and I'm going to start on push ups and crunches as well. But I need to know is there any other cardio excercises to do that could keep body from having the plateu effect, and does clothing affect calories in anyway when excercising? I usually wear basketball shorts and a t-shirt.

Congratulations on losing ten pounds so far. The exercise that you are doing is going to pay off in continued weight loss. Wearing shorts and a t-shirt would be comfortable. If you were to wear sweats, you would sweat more and lose some water weight that way. But, being naturally hydrated is important for health. And, you don't want to be losing too many elecrolytes with the sweating.

You should try using a weighted vest to create the resistance factor and make your running and jogging harder. Try weights around your ankles and wrists too. However, you need to realized that muscle weighs more than fat. So, while you make be looking more trim, you can actually weigh more. That's a good thing. Isn't your goal to get rid of the fat and keep your muscle.

Take some time to look at your diet. It can have an influence on how you gain or lose, try to choose one that is low in fat. That way, as you make efforts to exercise, the fat will get burned off. And, make sure that you don't do a semi-starvation diet. That will only make you hang on to fat even more once you reach your goal. And, it will cause you to lose muscle as your body needs protein and doesn't get enough to eat, it will take protein from your muscles.

I would recommend a diet that is high-fiber, low-fat with foods that give energy, build muscle and keep you healthy while you lose weight faster. Try this link for one idea of a way to go with diet. http://pcrm.org/health/health-topics/a- ... eight-loss" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Good luck, I hope you reach your goal!
