Hi there; nice to meet you :).

Well I'm not your age range, or a female, but if you need anything in the way of advice or support, perhaps I might be able to assist you.

Please feel free to give myself and / or others, a run down of your meal choices and meal times if you wish and any exercise you currently perform.

I would say that at your current weight, you won't have much remodelling of your body to undergo, but the process undertaken will serve you well for a long time, if you continue to try and preserve the results.

I really wish you well and I hope that whatever you want to get out of this, that it happens for you and that you can find greater happiness and fulfillment from your results :).

Whatever we as a community can do for you, please just ask and don't worry about anything you say. We're here to help and we will do what we think is right for you.

You ARE definitely worth it, so chin up and keep believing and most of all be proud of yourself, for wanting to do this, because it shows how you currently value yourself as a person and however you might have lived in the past, it's not that important now. What is important is embracing the future and positive healthy change for you and being able to believe that it can and will happen :).

Good luck and very best wishes to you. You seem like a lovely Lady and I hope that together we and you can make positive things happen for you :).

It's possible to be at your ideal weight at any age. I am also over 40, in fact I'm 51. I have been at ideal weight for at least 20 years.

I choose to try to eat the healthiest way possible most of the time. If I were you, I would get out and start going on a brisk walk for 15 minutes a day. Drink water before, during, and after this walk.

Then, try to alternate your fitness goals with a certain day(s) of yoga, dancing, weight-lifting, and basic exercises. By alternating the types of exercising you do, you won't get bored, and you can have a more well-rounded program.

For diet, I would only eat whole foods; whole grains, beans, fruits, vegetables; basically, things that haven't been processed or refined. There are so many recipes online for whatever you can imagine. You can even make a wholesome banana cream pie made with healthier coconut milk, fresh bananas, and a nut crust.

I think it is good that you have decided to join our forum, and I am happy to help you in any way that I can. So keep in touch. We can all help each other :D

Weight loss after 40 is one of the common complaints among people. The main reason for this is your body is going weak. So at this time, it is a must that you should take special interest on health, by doing some breath exercise or yoga and by eating healthy foods particularly at right time. Along with weight lose, if your energy level is also down then you have to look for some nutritional supplements, such as Krill oil.

As you get older, it becomes more and more difficult for you to lose weight. No matter the amount of exercise you do or how much you decide to starve yourself, you would not lose weight as fast as someone who is still in his 20s. The key to this however is to be consistent with whatever weight tips you are using.
