Post by musculArgirl2 »

I love pizza and i think this is a good recipe for people for there pizza too in a healthy way.

http://recipes.sparkpeople.com/recipe-d ... ipe=294062" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

i had a similar recipe but found this recipe as well here.

basically you peel and slice eggplant
season and brush olive oil on each side
bake in over at 425 for 6 to 8 minutes until brown
add spaghtetti sauce and mozarella cheese for a few more minutes and done!

I really like it. hardest thing with this recipe is i'm not good at picking out egg plants. The last one i picked out was bad when i peeled it and had to throw it away.

i really like this recipe though. :)

I have tried this but I was very disappointed with the eggplant I bought. Instead, I used squash and it's great!

I'm going to try and make a small pizza with cauliflower crust this weekend. Skeptical on how that will turn out but see what happens. :)

egg nutrition facts are very helpful to health. So, if the egg become a ingredient of pizza the it will be more delicious and more healthy food. Also egg plant made pizzas are very delicious and nutritious.

I don't agree with the bit about cooked eggs having more calories than raw.

Most macronutrients you cook, especially Fats and Carbohydrates and I suspect Proteins too, reduce when cooked, so there is less.

If you cook something like Egg and potentially reduce the fat content, how can you have more calories?

I don't consider that so called fact about cooked Eggs being more caloric than raw, in own mind, to be a fact, as it wasn't even explained why it is so.

Also I'd like to know how Lutein helps prevent degredation of eye Muscles. It helps prefent Macula degeneration, but the Macula is used for central vision, unlike the Retina which is used for peripheral vision, nether of which are muscles, to the best of knowledge.

Degredation of eye muscles, would be more likely with a Branch Chain Amino Acid deficiency and also old age, than lack of Lutein I feel, as Lutein is not an essential nutrient for health, even though the body cannot make it. This is so of all Carotenoids, which are pre-cursors of Vitamin A, (Retinol-A), as they can be converted in vivo to Vitamin A, but are neither essential to health not produced by the body.

The main muscle in the eyes are the Lateral, Medial, Superior and Inferior Rectus muscles and also the Superior and Inferior Obliques that control looking into the corners of the eyes and rotation.

The Macula is not a muscle, so that so-called fact would be worth clarifying to me in terms of Lutein preventing eye muscle degredation.

Eggs contain carbohydrate when they are Omega 3 Eggs, because that is the result of Chickens being fed flax.Normal eggs with Cholesterol shouldn't contain any Carbohydrate.

Again, point 10 observes more daily value of cooked Eggs versus Raw, but is not clarified as to how the cooking process, somehow develops the caloric and nutrient content above what it is in a raw state, as heat often has the ability to damage or lessen what is being cooked, from a nutritional standpoint, but heat improving food from a nutritional standpoint, is something I am unaware of and don't think is likely to be honest, but i'm willing to be proven wrong.

In general many of the points on that site are not clarified, so therefore they could be inaccurate.

That is nothing personal against the poster above :).
