Re: 90 day challenge
Hi there
.
Forgive me if I appear critical in post, but it is with good reason and not aimed directly at you, I'm just being honest and constructive
.
Forget the shakes, you could eat a balanced meal and get the remaining nutrients from a good multi-vit.
Example, 1/2 Chicken Breast, small portion of Mushrooms, or Beans and a portion of Broccoli, with Olive Oil.
Nutrition. Iron, Zinc, Magnesium, Vit A, B, C, D, E, K, Omega 3+6, Potassium, Phosphorus, Selenium, Copper, Beta Carotene, which is 16 different nutrients and possibly a few others I cannot recall offhand, one likely one being Manganese, as it is often found in many Magnesium source foods.
You could then have 1/2-1 good digestible multi-vit with the meal, but bearing in mind, these shakes can claim to have tonnes of Micronutrients in them, but it's not about how much they have, but how much your body will use. Great boast if the micros get used, but not much good if around 1/2 end up in your waste.
2 safe and surefire ways to boost your metabolism.
1. Exercise.
2. Diet.
Anything that is called a metabolism booster and comes in tablet form, irks me. Nobody and I mean NOBODY needs unquantifiable products, masqueraded as a solution to a problem that already has solutions.
Unless someone has a serious metabolic issue, in relation to processing nutrition, like Gastroparesis, Whipples Disease, Thyroid problems etc, that could hinder weight loss, or mess up the bodies nutrition processing protocols, then any form of tablet, pill or potion, being touted as a way to lose weight, is pure snake oil, for 2 reasons.
1. Give overwight people pills and then tell them to change nothing else about their lifestyle.
2. Lose weight, gain it back ,then replicate the exact same circumstances you used to lose weight, but take pills as well.
Unless you "isolate" the effects of these things, even simple weight loss things like walking a mile a day, or eating half the normal salt intake, or reducing alcochol consumption a week by 1/2, would stop you knowing what the pills, tablets etc did.
So Visalus scores badly for promoting this sort of product and should be more smart than that, but they could see it as smart, by promoting these things to people woh don't know better.
Admittedly Shapefit has it's Assist product, which Admin consulted me on after it had been manufactured, to which I politely told him I am not in favour of such things at all, but advised on reccomendations regarding Caffeine disclosure, as a "no hard feelings" sort of gesture.
So if you were thinking of promoting Visalus, firstly don't do it here as it's spamming and secondly think carefully about who you are buying off.
Snake oil metabolism tablets and shakes packed with nutrients, potentially a good proportion of which might go down the toilet, (assuming you and / or they can't scientifically prove all the nutrition can uptake to the body), are not good selling points from the company, to make me like them and with 170 calories per shake, how long would you go before the next meal without startign to feel hungry again?
Also I downloaded a PDF about their "kits", which told me everything but what is in them, I.E. nutrients, what types and how much and I don't see why anybody should have to ring up to enquire about whether products have things like Wheat, Gluten, Soy, Nut content etc, to potentially get shunted from pillar to post, costing them a lot to get nowhere, hung up on, or rack up a hefty charge on their bill assuming they would get their legitimate concerns validated.
If you would like any additional help and support from Shapefit not Visalus, feel free, we'd be more than happy to help, but if you wish to continue using a potentially suspicious organisation like Visalus, then that's okay. I'm not trying to prejudice you or make you out to be a fool, I'm just being honest because you deserve that, but in that case, I will wish you well and hope that everything you want in life works out for you, because you seem like someone who deserves it.
Good luck whatever you decide
.

Re: 90 day challenge
Thank you for your opinion and it is well noted, however husband is a certified ISSA American nutritionist. We are very well aware of our ingredients in our products which with a little more research could be found at http://www.duediligence.visalus.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;. Secondly I have not spammed anyone. You clicked the link to this open forum and read it. If you wish not to read it again do not click it again. Fortunately what I am doing is sharing a great product from a great company that has worked for us and so many others. But once again I say thank you for your opinion. I wish you all the best in whatever your goals may be. But visalus has provided us and so many others wonderful results and is daily changing so many lives that one opinion should not hinder someone else that may can benefit from our incredible product line. Have a blessed evening.

Thank you for your honest repsonse, but that due dilligence page lacks the vital knwoledge a consumer needs; ingredient lists and amounts. Obesity reports, people with PHD's, revenue streams from promotion of Visalus and all the other shabang, is of no use to anyone, if they can't see what's in these things, because there may be a percentage of people with an intolerance to one or more ingredients, or who can't consume something incase it conflicts with a medication.
So this lack of disclosure still concerns me, because anyone consuming something against their beliefs, I.E. religious, Vegan etc, or having an allergic reaction, is not going to care what product promotion revenues they can get, or how many PHD's the advisors have, if they get a medical problem, or buy things only to discover they would be consuming things that go against their principles.
So unfortunately, this lack of disclosure about important need to know information, concerns me and no amount of advisors with PHD's will alay concerns, (I don't doubt such people are excellent alumni in their field), especially as some of the links to the product pages on that page you posted, don't work and are defunked.
I'll also still never be able to conscience any kind of tablet, pill or liquid designed to boost metabolism. The notion of such scientific concepts to me is highly wrong and contradicts what natural human diet and exercise practices, can do for practically anyone.
Sorry, but again, just being honest
