New Here!!!!!

Post by bennyb84 »

Hey guys,

I'm new here and I like what I see so far. I've been in fitness since I was 13 and now in late 20's. I want to help out here as much as I can and learn from all of you. I'm old school when it comes to fitness, no machines or anything like that, I lift weights very rarely and when I do I usually end up breaking own PRs in the process. I have dabbled in many areas of exercise ranging from qi gong, yoga, gymnastics, kettlebell training, heavy weight lifting, Self Resistance, Muscle Control, Strongman stunts (bending, ripping and levering), Dynamic Stretching, Energy drills, deep breating ect. I'm a student of the game and always learning something new. main focus is on Animal Exercise but workouts change frequently and rarely do the same workout twice in the same week. I have not taken one day off since aug. 1st, 2005. I exercise 7 days a week without fail ranging from 1min. to one hour of exercise depending on mood and the type of day I have. I have been trained by top notch trainers in the RKC, Qi Gong master, Strongmen and old school Physical Culturists. I'm constantly learning new ways to train and I stopped using the word workout and turned it into a play.

I became serious with training when I learned how to walk again from a serious leg injury shattering both legs in a cliff jumping accident. I started out with three exercises and graually worked up to many more later on. I never did any physical therapy, I trained myself from scratch and within less then 8 months of training 7 days straight I was hitting exercises in the hundreds to over a thousand rep ranges. big accomplishments have been doing 600 push-ups in one workout, 1000+ hindu squats in under an hour, Snatched a 53 lb. KB 83 times in 5 min. on first attempt, have picked up 400 lbs. in the deadlift (without any real barbell training) and have had the ability to fall back into a wrestler's bridge, kick over and kick all in one fluid motion, this is all at a bodyweight of 240+ lbs. Plus have been able to do 20+ chinups when I was 230 and 17 pull-ups at 235 (done at a near dead hang and chin over the bar). I've also levered sledgehammers up to 14 lbs and have bent as many as 31 60D penny nails (nails at 6inches long and a 1/4 inch thick) in 31 min. Enough about those, it's just another form of fun in book. I don't treat exercises as torture or needing or having to do them type basis, I treat exercises as if they were fun, enjoyable and give me the benefits I want.

biggest influences are guys like Logan Christopher, Bud Jeffries, Matt Furey, Baran, Garin Bader, John Peterson, Tyler Bramlett, Jack Lalanne, Bruce Lee, Maxick, George Hackenshmidt, Paul Anderson and many of the old-time strongmen and athletes of the early 20th century. I wouldn't be surprised if you only heard 2 of these names but when you look them up you'll see why I have high respect for them.

If you wish to know anything else, just message me or reply to posts. Thank you and I look forward to learning from all of you.
