Good work out program?

Post by Jeff85 »

When I was in high school I wasn't in the best shape, but when I got to college I really let myself go and gained a bunch of weight. I've been working out for about a year now, but I'm no where near where I want to be. I weigh 220 pounds and I want to have a six pack or at least nice abs as quick as possible, so I'm looking for a good work out program that gives me fast results without taking up all of time. Anyone have any suggestions and/or success with any work out plans.

Something I give to people sometimes.

Squats, 2 sets, 10 reps

Lunges, 2 sets, 10 reps

Deadlifts, 2 sets, 10 reps

Bent over Barbell Rows, 2 sets, 10 reps

Bench Press, 2 sets, 10 reps

Shrugs, 2 sets, 10 reps

Planks 30 seconds.

An instructor would be able to help you.

If you do Cardio, you could be looking at interval training for 30 minutes a time, or maybe something like Sprints or HIIT.

So your weights and cardio schedule could look something like this.

Day 1. Weights

Day 2. Cardio

Day 3. Weights

Day 4. Day off

Day 5. Cardio

Day 6. Weights

Day 7. Day off.

When you've done this kind of adaption stuff for around 4-6 weeks, to get used to the biomechanics of weightlifting, then you'd be able to utilise several options.

1. Do the same 3 days a week methodology with more intensity.

2. A different 3 day a week mentality, with weights days looking like this. Legs / Biceps, Chest / Triceps, Back / Shoulders, or switch the Biceps and Shoulders around, the same Cardio

3. Do a 4 day weights split incorporating cardio, I.E. lower body, upper body + cardio, day off, lower body, upper body, cardio, day off.

4. Do a 5 day split, I.E. legs, chest + cardio, back, day off, biceps / triceps + cardio, shoulders, day off.

That sounds good, but I've been working out like that for about a year and I'm not seeing what I want to see. I'm talking about like maybe a program to get on for a few weeks that will get me in shape maybe like a P90x or Insanity. I'm honestly trying to get ripped in time for this cruise coming up, so I'm willing to spend some cash if anyone has any suggestions.

friend put me onto this one workout plan, its only 45 days and it did me wonders. I looked at doing P90x and some others but they were too long and a little out of price range. It includes 45 days of workouts and 45 days of meals to eat and it got me ripped. At first I didn't buy into it when friend told me, but then I emailed the creator of the MP45 workout plan and he's was the nicest guy. He explained to me what its all about and really cared what I was saying to help me. Heres where I got the info and plan: http://mp45.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Hope I could help.

Join a CrossFit gym intro program :) If it's your kind of thing, it will be a life changer.
