(Depends what it is.)

-Don’t count calories

(There's nothing wrong with that, as long as it doesn't become obsessive.)

-Spend more time with food

(If you mean eat more slowly then yes fair enough)

-Eat before you eat

(Makes no sense at all)

-Don’t even try battling temptation

(So am I right that you're saying giving into temptation is good for weight loss. Sorry, but I can't reconcile that type of thinking.)

-Go to bed hungry

(Why? You can still process calories, but something like protein is good for muscle retention and If you lost muscle you would lose some calorie burning potential and also things like Tryptophan and Phenylalanine, can exert positve hypothalamic effects, by affecting mood hormones and a small amount of Carbs can also do similar things.

Yes, if you eat a Big Mac an hour before bed, that's not good, but a small pot of yoghurt, or a small portion of beans, or a few nuts isn't going to harm to much.)

- Get off the scale

(No need as long as you don't ecome obsessive.)

-Don’t eat when stressed

(Why? You still need to eat. Yes it will affect how your body copes with food, but you need to eat. If someone was stressed about something for 3 whole days, or a week or more, should they therefore eat nothing for several days?)

-Be forgiving

(Yes I agree with this.)

This is sensible in relation to some peoples lifestyles and to avoid possible overeating, bloating after meals and feelings of heaviness before or during exercise, but if relation the 3 big meals a day mentality, it has never been conclusively proven to be any better, as far as I'm aware.

I think a lot of people know at least a few things listed above. The hardest part is to really act.
