It depends on your physical ability. I don't really know how else to respond, as we normally get questions longer than a title and one word

I've been dieting now for the last 25 years. I'm now 41 and am the heaviest I've ever been. I've lost 6 stone twice but put it back on and have lost between 3 and 5 stone countless times again always putting it back on. I've had enough
I'm unable to do most workouts as I suffer from spinal arthritis, but I do enjoy walking, I have a treadmill for the rainy weather but would like to know what speed to train at. I cant jog so I figure speed walking best choice.
Could anyone tell me what speed, how often are for how long I should train for. I want this to be a permanent solution so I am endeavoring to change the way I think about food. I've used Paul McKennas gastric band book (please dont giggle) and its actually working, without the exercise I've lost nearly 2 stone in the last 6 weeks.
Any help you guys could give would be super, and I'll keep you all up to date with progress.
Thanks

I would aim for 30 minutes 5 times a week, using an interval setting.
I'd go for 3mph on a treadmill, using an interval setting.
Try and see if you can increase the speed by around 0.1mph per week.
As for the 5 days, don't do them together, split them. This way might work.
3 days on, 1 off, 2 days on, 1 off.
This means you don't do 5 days straight and then 2 days of nothing, potentially eating into progress.
This might work for you

Speed walking hmmm I think you should go for 7 to 9 km/h (4.6 to 5.5 mph) ....
