Caffeine supplements, not worth diddly really.

CLA might work, bit hit and miss.

Green Tea, might be useful, but be mindful of the caffiene content.

Multivits are decent sometimes, but be aware of potential fillers. multi-vit sticky might be useful to you.

It's the diet that would be the logical point of analysis.

What foods do you eat and what times do you eat?

Why do people always look a magic bullet? Save your money all you'll get from fat burners is the jitters. You need to start a daily food journal. Once you are armed with exactly what you eat you can find the areas to improve. Aim for a 10% reduction in calories. Add whole body exercises. Don't bite off more than you can chew, it's better to start off small and want more than to have unrealistic goals. Start with 20 - 30 minutes of walking or cycling, alternate with basic leg lifts, crunches, knee push-ups, chair squats and or step-ups for a total of 3 times a week. You can always add more from here.

A friend recommended Liproxenol to me. After discussing it with GP and getting his approval, I gave it a go. I found it really effective in suppressing appetite while increasing metabolism and giving me more energy. I have a problem with thyroids so losing weight has always been problem but it is a thing of the past now.

Well I will start by saying, that I am genuinely pleased you have improved your situation and I ma not commenting with the intention of chastising you, however I am aggrieved any doctor reccomended such a product, as I personally feel it is medically unethical, to reccomend anything classed as a fat burner, appetite suppressant or thermogenic serum.

The doctors credentials on such matters could be questionable, especially if he schooled before the advent of such products, or even if he schooled afterwards, because I doubt 5 years of medicla school, teaches medics about such products. I mean I've heard of some advising against protein powder use, which is poor.

His knowledge of such things may have not been discussed. I don't know as I wasn't there and you were and it's your right to disclose or not disclose anything that was said, so I'm sincerely not going to pry.

This independant site linked to below, also critiques the products lack of ingredient information, poor websites, ingredients some of which are not proven to, or don't help weightloss and use of fake testimonies.

Diet Pills Watchdog

I also concur with their comments and think you would have been better not using it, but I must stress I m pleased with your situation and stress again that I am not seeking to chastise you :).

Supplements for weight loss or fat burner can result you the same as you can get by going through a regular diet and do daily exercises. It would be only money loss if you don't get any positive results after using the supplements. So think before going to any sort of weight loss supplements.

You really need to be careful when shopping for supplements for weight loss. Its important to stick with an all natural product. I swear by this product written up in this blog (they showed it on Dr Oz too) http://onebodelive.com/blog/define-your-summer" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Honestly, its all about what you eat as well. Abs are made in the kitchen!!!

Before I got into fitness, I was also looking for supplements to take. Before going further into considerations, a friend gave me an advice that saved money and changed life. What you eat will ultimately decide how much you weigh. I'm not the type that can stop replace a fast food meal with oatmeal and fruits so a change in diet would discourage me and aim straight for the supplements. What I did was reduce the amount of condiments each time I eat. Very small portions where I wouldn't tell the difference in taste. An order of a large soda turned into regular size. Regular size turned into a cup of water. After 5 months, I only ate out once a week and loss about 16 pounds just dieting. No exercise.

I think the bottom line is, supplements will not do anything that a good diet and exercise regime won't. There is no such thing as a miracle cure for losing weight, when they finally develop something along the lines of recent studies to switch on Brown Adipose Tissue in adults, the company that makes it will literally make trillions.

What the weight loss supplements do is aid you in the weight loss process and each product tries to target a different problem area....

CLA is the buzz word at the moment, and while it doesn't promote weight-loss itself, it is proven to help with insulin levels and makes it less likely for you to get a sugar crash.
Green Tea can have some minor metabolic effects, lowers blood pressure by inhibiting vasoconstriction and aids in mobilising fat.
Caffeine does not effect weigh loss itself, it is an appetite suppressant, so you don't feel hungry - BUT if you are sensitive to caffeine you can have big come-downs which normally end in requiring to eat more.
Chillies (in particular the capsaicin in them) is proven to boost metabolism for around 20min after eating them and therefore you can put hot stuff in your meals to help burn it off quicker...

There are plenty of products out there that claim to boost metabolism, but in the end you will get just as much effect by having the real thing as opposed to a pill.

If you want an early morning and lunchtime pick-me-up then try this:
1/2 teaspoon of cayenne pepper
1/2 teaspoon of ground ginger
1/2 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
2 teaspoons of lemon juice
Mix in a luke-warm cup of water and drink.
**This tastes awful, and very spicy, but will give your metabolism the same kick-start that any of the bought pills will!

Yep Cayenne is known to have thermogenic properties.

I actually saw about a year after the swedish brown fat studies were published, a google ad on the main Fittracker page, claiming a pill that could actiivate brown fat.

It really hacked me off massively, that some jerkoff company was attempting to market a trashy product, based on limited science, not peer reviewed, cast iron science. The scientists had never found a proven trigger for brown fat activation in anyone.

The sensible approach, would have been to work out some kind of combination of dietry and / or exercise factors, but the scientists reckoned when a proven trigger was discovered, a pill would be the way to make it happen.

I was so dissapointed to see an interesting discovery, discussed in such a stunted, non-progressive way
