Water

Post by caden0925 »

I was wondering if just drinking water can make me lose fat. I know it's not healthy but could that work?

Water could in theory do that, as it would flush some Fatty deposits out of the system. That's why a lot of bodybuilders drink half a lake about 36 hours pre-comp tp tighten up, and then leave about 12 prior to the show to get rid of it.

So yes you could do that, though not like bodybuilder. I'd restrict yourself to about 8 glasses a day.

Wait, do you mean drinking only water and not eating? Or do you mean that the only change you make is to drink more water? Please clarify.

I want to go a little offtopic here. is there any upper limit for water you should be drinking. I am currently drinking about 4 - 6 litres of water everyday. Either I am at work or home a water bottle is always in front of me so I generally keep drinking small quantity of water every 15-20 mins.

Also Climate here is hot and humid.

No real upper limit, but I'd say restrict ot 8, no more than 10 max.

4-6liters? isnt that WAY WAY too much. I heard tha drinking too much water is bad for your kidenys, 3 liters tops!

I can barely make it to 2 liters sometimes, plus it depends on your weight, right?

like im about 50 kgs, i need about 2 liters...maybe 2 and a half as max. 2 as a min

Shouldn't be bad for the Kidneys I wouldn't have thought, consuming a lot of Water, providing it's moderated. I.E. not consumed in obsene amounts, like a Camel would. Mind you they drink massive amounts, and store it in their humps, then process it over 3-4 weeks.

Anyway, back to the point in hand. Bearing in ming if someone is up for 15 hours a day, 8 litres is about 1 litre every 1 hour 55 minutes, even 10 litres, is 1 litre every 90 minutes.

Water is very fast acting in the system, due to having no calories. I can drink a cup full before a workout, some more half way though, and by the time I'm home I'm gushing  .
