Creatine

Post by timtimtimmah19 »

So little brother (16) has started asking about possibly using creatine. I've done some research on it in the the past and found that generally if you drink enough water it doesn't have any real negative effects. However, I'd like to ask if anyone here has any other information about it, me having never used it personally. So if anyone knows of any negative effects or could recommend a brand that'd be great. Thanks!

Your brother is 160lbs+ ? (If he's lighter the effect will be negligable, from what I've heard)
He drink a lot of water per day ?
He dosen't eat many red meat ? (Red meat, especially beef already contain creatine)

If you awnser a no, just don't buy creatine.

feedback, I've used 3 types of creatine (that I had for free) over a 3-4 month periods and didn't notice any changes ...

1. Creatine for lightweights is a waste of money.

2. Creatine occurs in Meat and Fish and is consumed in roughly 2g a day doses.

3. Some Creatine users are non-responders, hence why some people won't notice anything.

Frankly I'd say right now his main priority is changes to his physical regime, and diet, not things like Creatine, which can happen later in his life.
