Tire and Weak

Post by tnfirefighter »

I have been on night shift 6 pm-7 am for 3 weeks. I have been staying with the diet plan that we had worked out as far as meals

1 fruit, 1 cup oatmeal
2 fruit, protein
3 protein veggie/salad
4 protein veggie/salad
5 protein veggie/salad
6 prtotein veggie/salad

After looking back on food logs I am gettting between 2200-2400 cals give or take . Around 4 am I start getting really weak and sick to stomach. Swanso, Boss Man what do you recommend? Im am starting to think Im not geting enough calories. Last nite I ate a apple and 15 mins later I felt great. Maybe blood sugar is getting too low? I only feel this way at work....

well your leals are spaced evenly...maybe it's what your combining at the 4am meal...switch things around and see how they go...you've had a big day by then anyway so it may just be fatigue creping in...also try a bigger post training meal or more meals around then say shake at 5 when you finish with sugary cerial then 30 - 45mins later have a solid protein and veg meal which could also include a little rice, bread or pasta then follow your normal meals as written
