Post by yellowsubmarine »

i have been training for a year i currently use whey protein post workout (occasionally use l-glutamine) and try to stick to sticky diet on this site.
have seen no2 products advertised on other sites and was wondering whether or not they are; worth the money, safe or useless.

It Vasodilates Bloodvessels.

In the reccomended amounts safe almost certainly in all cases, but not as good as Arginine.

Unless you have a Herpes Virus of some kind, I.E. Simplex 1 or 2 or Zoster, then it's okay to take Arginine, as Arginine is repsonsible for NO production anyway, but also for increased sexual health, increased healing of wounds, helping ot block Fat deposits into the Liver, and possibly other functions.

Reality is, taking Arginine would be better and possibly cheaper than NO products themselves.

I thought you wanted him to tell you, but in fairness he could have rehashed what I said, making it difficult to know what he did or didn't know about it to begin with.

You're right though it doesn't make you bigger or stronger but Arginine, is still a better choice than just NO. Arginine has good health benefits. I'm not saying it's something everyone should use, but if he's intent on using NO, he's a least better going for Arginine over NO, because it's a more all round product.

For bodybuilding purposes it's not great, for health benefits, Arginine is pretty good. and I can't force him not to use it, or keep telling him no, but if he wants NO increases, or is really keen on such a thing, at least Arginine is better than straight NO.

no (legal) supplement alone makes you bigger or stronger

i was asking if NO products work, are worth the money or useless

Arginine is cheap so i thought it would be worth trying, i have heard people discuss it on other forums and no it wont work miracles but as i said i will give it a try and report back

thank you for advice so far

yep,

there's many worth the money supps.

MultiVit
Whey
Fish Oils
ZMA
etc.

and from your statement : "no (legal) supplement alone makes you bigger or stronger " even illegal "supplement" needs hard works with it to work

Go one better than Lecuine, go for the BCAA's. Leucine, Iso-Leucine and Valine, and then stack them with Glutamine, if you don't want a Protein powder.

As a sneaky one, you could buy some Maltodextrin powder, and add a small does of that to your BCAA, Glutamine stack, to boost the properties, so you're simulating a Protein and Carbs powder, just with reduced Aminos, and take it after workouts.

it seems that your saying i might as well save money and just stick to whey protein or bcaa's and obviously good diet
already take fish oils and multivit

does Maltodextrin have any positive/negative effect on effectiveness of whey protein PWO

and is it any better/ worse than Dextrose
