GETTING OVER THE WEIGHT LOSS HUMP

Post by cyoti »

I've lost 25lbs slowly but surely since November but for the last week and half I've stalled out without any modifications to exercise regime. Any tips and /or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Best advice - accept the 'slowdowns'. Your body's rate of fat loss will become slower as you approach your ideal weight. Sounds like your diet got you results, but you may want to expand your food intake to 5 meals or more each day with less calories per meal. Next, change up your workout - reverse the sequence of what you do, mix it up - your goal here is to keep your body guessing. Remember, your body adapts to repitition, and grows with change.

Monitor your percentage of fat loss if you have the means - and let the mirror be the judge, not the scale. Bottom line, your genetic makeup is as unique as a fingerprint, so you have to find what works for you. If you only lose one pound in the past month, be happy with that. Direction is more important than speed.

Hope this helps,
