Need your help...

Post by socalfitchick »

Hello Everyone. I need some help with abs.
I'm 22 years old, I weigh 125lbs and look really healthy, diet is really clean. I eat fruits and veggies.

But I have one small problem... gut.
For some odd reason, I just cant seem to get rid of the fat. I can feel muscles underneath when I flex them but I need to know what I can do to get rid of the fat thats on top of the muscles, Looking to get down to a low Body Fat percentage to see them. If anyone has any suggestions that would be really great.

I go to the gym 5 times a week, Cardio anywhere between 30-45 minutes and i do weight training but for some odd reason just cant get rid of the fat around waist.

Please help... Thanks :)

try increasing healthy fats as stubborn ab fat is correlated with poor carb tolerance and they can help with this

Clean up your diet, Good abs start in the kitchen. Be conscious of how you stand, walk, sit throughout your day. Posture plays a good role. Activate your abs all day long, not just when working out. Feels awkward at frist but once you get into the habit of sitting, walking, and standing taller, engaging your abdominal muscles, it will come more naturally than you think.

Also, if that Cardio is daily, don't do it, as you may be burning things like muscle, when your diet's not right, causing metabolic weakening, and fat increases.

I might not be 1hr of Cardio a day, but if you're doing the Cardio as well as weights more than 3 times a week, it might be contributary factor. So if you're doing Cardio daily, I'd do it every other day, so you're not doing more than 3 x a week. Also if it's steady state, then switch it to stuff like Interval as an example.
