N-Acetyl-L-Cysteine 81 mg
Glutamic Acid 45 mg.
Glycine 23 mg.

Another Capsule - Serving Size 3 per Day

Superoxcide Dismutase 281.25mg

I have a hard time swallowing pills, so if these aren't really doing me any good I'd rather pass......but if they are good for me I'll grin and bear it.

I'm taking Mona Vie now twice a day, 1-2 ounces - very tasty and looks like its good for me, I'm taking Active that has glucosamine in it for joints. Any thoughts on Mona Vie?

Thanks for any feedback!

Question are the three things you outlined a daily thing, or just 3 seperate options?

As for Mona Vie, I've seen people trying to sell it over the internet, as some kind of independant distributors.

Frankly I don't trust people trying to do that, and it probably means it is a hype product.

Even the website tells you things like Omega 3 fatty acids. Plenty of ways to get those. Boasts Glucosamine, well yeah, but without Chondritin too, not so hot. Plus a few Amino Acids. If you wanted all that, you could probably get it eating Shellfish, or just put some shelled Prawns and Water in a blender, mix, then drink  .

I'd say avoid. It just looks like a product trying to be too clever for its own good, which the makers can't decide the primary function of, and probably isn't as good as they make it sound.

Plus products like Benecol have plant Sterols. Plus Beta-Glucan has Cholesterol lowering potential as well. So you could get the same result as Mona Vie pretty much, having some Whole-grain Cereal, Omega-3 Eggs, and a Plant Sterol based Yoghurt drink for Breakfast.

Or simplify things with some Powdered Flax and Yoghurt. Then for Dinner some Soybeans, as the main portion, or a normal meat dinner, and a few Nuts as an after thought, again possibly with a Sterol drink.

Alternatively get Fruit for Anti-oxidants or Veggies. Lycopene has Anti-oxidant type effects, so Tomato, or Tomato products, (not Ketchup), Pink Grapefruit, Watermelon, sparingly though as it's high calorie and high GI, and Pink Guava, highest Vit C source at around 165mg's. I think Apricots too have Lyopene, or supplementally will do. As will Resveratrol, which is found in things like Grapes, certain other Fruits and Peanuts.

Then with Peanuts you get your healthy Fats and Amino Acids as well.

Thanks Boss Man - I am eating right, protein, lots of veggies - fruit in the AM and good fats. Even though I flunked the oxidata test (not even sure what it is!) I'm thinking diet should suffice. I was suppose to take 3 capsules each day of the supplements listed, plus 1-2 ounces of Mona Vie, plus a scoop of Nano Greens, plus 2 capsules of Fish Oil. Even if one or the other might be even a little beneficial - all together seemed a bit like overkill.

brother and his wife have been taking Mona Vie for some time and swear by it. Until I decided to try it I felt the same way you did. I'll finsih what I have and see how I feel when I stop. I've actually been tired and seem to lack energy since I've been taking all this stuff - not sure if it's one or all or something else! I do have lots on mind right now with Mom....

Thanks again!
