I need help on suppliments etc.
I walk into GNC wanting vitamins/suppliments/shakes but have no idea what to buy.

I want something i can take first thing in the morning, either for before/after/during a workout, then somethin in the middle of the day and then again for evening time and for evening work out.

i like the idea of having a protein shake/fruit smoothie in the morning with some kind of vitamins. To start day right.
Most mornings (4 out of 7) i ride bike at 7am for 30mins or so, so something that will help burn fat, endurance would be great. I am just so clueless about these things.
Snack, Usually fruit
Lunch (usually a salad or sandwich with fruit) Not sure if i should have something with this
Snack, usually fruit again
Dinner, Chicken, veg, salads
then i exercise again around 9pm rollerblade or bike ride.

I swim a couple of times a week.

I am pretty overweight, atleast 50lbs and would like a lean healthy body

Any help would be appreciated

I would choose something like a Whole of Whole-grain Cereal, and possibly a few Berries for example with Breakfast. Could go with Eggs as a protein source perhaps, if you're not keen on Chicken and Turkey first thing.

You could have half a scoop of Protein powder, but the difference is in what you buy.

You can get Whey, which comes in Concentrate, and then Isolate, which is more purer, and a bit more expensive.

You can get ones with Carbs, but you might be better with Carb free.

There's also Soy ones, and Hemp ones too. Soy is around 33% Protein, most concentrated protein source in nature, and Hemp is 25%, the second highest.

You need to be careful with Multi-vits, as some Multi-vits don't digest too well, and also don't have some of the content of others, either differing in the amount or numbers of ingredients / components.

Popular ones seem to be Centrum, Sanatogen Gold and Animal-Pak.

You need more Protein with your snacks as well, like Chicken, Turkey, Lean Beef, Ham, Flax, Low Fat Cheese and Peanuts.

I also wouldn't go too much for the Fruit, as some Fruit sugar can convert to Fat in the Liver, so leave it out of the afternoon meal, and have other things like Veggies, Whole-grain products, Cashews, Low Fat Cheese, Peanuts etc etc, to get your Carbs.

You'd need to be aware with Cashews, they contain quite a bit of healthy Fat, and Low Fat Cheese is also Protein rich.

I wouldn't exercise twice in one day, like that, you might hinder the recovery process, and over do it a little.

I'd go for evening exercise, as your Metabolism tapers off in the evening, so you might be wise to do it then, to incease Thermogenic activity, and boost calorie burning potential, as Metabolism is jacked up first thing anyway, so early morning exercise, might not necessaily capitalise that much on that.

You could then have your good 45-60 minutes of exercise, in the evening.

You could incorporate weights into your regime, either buying a weights kit, (not dumbbells), or joining a Gym, but for now you look like you'll be fine making a few moderations. You could also have a Protein shake after you evening workout, if you wanted some extra calories, just to ensure your calories are a good level, because too few whilst exercise is in the mix, could be counterproductive, if you burn muscle and cling onto Fat, weakening your Metabolism, and possibly meaning you convert more calories to excess, which could result in storing Fat in the long-term.

If you felt you needed some Carbs in your shake after exercise, you could use things like Honey, and / or crushed Oats, or maybe instead eat something like a piece of whole-grain Bread, with or without Honey.

Probably the Flaxseed. It may be having some kind of Ant-inflammatory effect. Not that you were having any inflammation I don't suppose, but I'd say the Flax was doing it for you.
