Immune system

Post by Bonnie »

I already receive tranfusions monthly (IVIg)..to compensate for somewhat low IgG 5.91 (6.30-18.50) & IgA 0.71 (0.90-5.50) Apparently some individuals are born with this, the doctor has found nothing else.I only found out about this approximately 4 months ago & was already training etc...though I find as I am this last week, tired right before next IV..so question is..are there any supplements or foods I can eat, to try & help this ?

Not 100% certain what you're referring to. Do you mean Immunoglobulin, or something like that?

Vias vie the foods, things like Chicken are a good source of Zinc, and obviously things like Frtuis for the Vitamin C, and Broccoli and Potatos.

Zinc is mirrored in a lot of Iron foods, like Meats Whole-grains, etc etc, so it shoudln't be too hard to get it.

Oysters are the highest source, but they are pricey too.

For immune boosting, you could try have 500mg-1g Vit C supplement a day, if not already doin ghat. Should you have a few digestibility issues, go for buffered, and possibly consider having it first thing, on an empty stomach, when digestibility might be more optimal, epecially as Metabolism is higher first thing.

Inside your body there is an amazing protection mechanism called the immune system. It is designed to defend you against millions of bacteria, microbes, viruses, toxins and parasites that would love to invade your body. To understand the power of the immune system, all that you have to do is look at what happens to anything once it dies. That sounds gross, but it does show you something very important about your immune system.

Basically the tissues go necrotic.

However the immune system does protect you from some viral strains, that can't kill and won't do that, but of course the immune system can be ultimately affetced by things like Nutrition, certain types of Herbs and even exercise, as well as negative things too.
