Looking for help, Very new

Post by eastmatt »

Okay hello there.

Im not an overweight person but also im not skinny. Some people would look at me and say your not fat but when ive got shirt off i just look all flabby and horrible. Its mostly . arms are skinny and legs are quite muscular. Its just im having problems with.

I understand why this is mostly. When i was growing up i was forced to live with mothers friends and it got to the point were i disliked it so much and felt so uncomfortable that i stopped eating meals with them and stopped leaving room. Id just get junk food on the way home from school and sneak it up to room.

This all lasted till a few months ago when i finally moved out and went to university. I always feel like the pudgy one when im with friends as there all in shape and stuff.

So what have i done to change? Well 2 weeks befor the christmas holidays i started going to the gym 5-6 days a week for 2 weeks. I started seeing some basic changes but had to stop as i had to go home from uni and couldnt get to the gym. Ive packed the weight i lost straight back on over xmas, and need to find a way to get into the best posible shape that i can. Ive been doing basic weight exercises as well and taking a protein shake every night and seen alot of changes in arms. But its abs that i want to aim for the most.

Im not eating "well" but im not eating "bad" its kind of a mix. I get what i need but maybe abit more also. For breakfast i would eat a bowl of baked beans with whole meal bread for the protein and the fiber. And for a main meal id have say a chicken curry "just a lite one" and often salads and stuff. But id sometimes snack inbetween form fruit to maybe a packet of crisps :(

So what im asking is for some basic advice on a nice balanced diet and how i could lost stomach fat and get some nice abs :)

Thanks, Matt x

Change snacks to something easy, like Peanuts, Nuts, pre-cooked packet Chicken, Turkey and Ham. Fruit in the AM about 10-15 minutes before other food, to help digestion, Eggs, Low Fat Cheese, Tomatos, though I would also reccomend Crisps strangely in your case, as Walkers do ones with a lot less Saturatre and Sunseed, so they're less than 200 calories a bag, and a lot of good Fat in them, so you could do worse these days, but perhaps avoid Ready Salted.

Protein and Carbs every meal, 5-6 meals a day, every 2.5-3 hours on average.

The bodyweight stuff is obviously working, so unless you really feel a need to change then stick with it.
