I'd google backpacking foods...we're champs at packing in calories in small spaces :) -Trail mix...you can get it quite cheap at Sam's or just make your own. Nuts, dried fruit (raisins are cheap for us broke college kids) and M&Ms -String cheese! -Canned tuna or salmon in pita bread. Mix the fis...

Try PB2...it's basically powdered peanuts. They press the oil out so that you have wayyy less fat. Mix up 2tbsp with water and you have PB that's 45 calories and 1.5g of fat vs Jif PB which has 190 calories in 2tbsp and 16g of fat. HUGE difference. Also, "regular" PB has a good bit of sodi...

I haven't read all the responses, so some of these have probably already been said: -Wheat toast with PB, sliced banana, and honey - I would eat this EVERY morning if I could. -Boiled eggs...just boil a dozen at a time and keep them in the fridge. -Oatmeal with a spoonful of PB mixed in. No, really....

bf LOVES Muscle Milk...we get the 5.5lb pack (of powder) for $45, which isn't bad because it lasts quite a while :) I hate the taste of the majority of protein shakes but I actually like this one.

Gaining muscle vs too many calories

I'm a new member here, so here is a little background on me: I am a 21yr old geoscience student in TX. I consider myself pretty active, workout (cardio and bodyweight exercises) 5-6 times a week, as well as hiking/backpacking regularly. I eat well; lots of fruits and veggies, limit wheat/oats to rig...
