Dextrose is good, but Maltodextrin is just a personal choice of mine, and a lot of Protein / Carb powders have it in.
Most proteirn and Malto powders are cheap for big tubs, and if you buy a Carb free powder, than Dextrose to boot, you would probably pay more I would think, the only beneift there is, you can choose your own ratios of Protein to Carbs
