Thanks Iron! It always helps me when I have a specific goal in mind, something to work towards, I stay more focused and disciplined.
The eating thing is still a problem. Yesterday I was under 1000 calories for the day. Not on purpose, it just happened. I was busy with grocery shopping, cleaning house, running errands. The problem was that I didn't have the snacks in between breakfast, lunch and dinner. Only had the 3 meals. Also, yesterday was rest day, no workout or run, maybe I just wasn't as hungry?

Treadmill today:
5 miles
1st mile: 9:55 / 2nd mile: 19:09 / 3rd mile: 28:25 / 4th mile: 37:37 / 5th mile and final time: 46:42
Last mile was pretty tough, really got tired, but pushed through anyway. :D

The calories thing just happened. Chalk it up to experience and you'll almost certainly learn from it.

Either that, or get yourself some kind of timer, that goes off mid way through chores, to remind you to take an enforced 5-10 minute break, to eat the snacks.

The main thing, is not to let little things become a stick to beat yourself with. You are human and they will happen, so you just need to keep your chin up, think positive and keep focusing on each new day.

You seem to be doing a great job overall, of managing your lifestyle, so be proud of yourself, and no worries okay. I'm sure you'll get to where you want to be.

It's a hard but educational road, and all things considered, I think you can look on this journey so far, with a lot of smiles and pride, so keep on pushing, well done thus far and good luck for the coming weeks and months.

You're a truly great Lady and you deserve to be happy and you've given a lot to Shapefit in your time here, so Shapefit and plenty of people will always be here to help, support understand and care about you :).

I'm proud of what people like you achieve. Be proud of you too, because you've earned it :).

Wow! Thank you Boss Man for the encouraging words! That really means alot to me. :D :D Everyone here is awesome and the advice and support I get is so important to me. And if I am able to give a bit of advice through experiences or a little pep talk to someone who is down, then everything I have gone through or learned from is worth it.

Felt a little light headed several times today. Especially upon standing or moving after sitting down. I'm thinking blood pressure is low or something. I tend to have low blood pressure as a rule anyway.

I did treadmill run this evening. I felt like I had a 50 lb. weight strapped to each leg. I don't know why, I haven't over eaten. or ate anything really heavy in fat. So far today I have had about 1000 calories.

Anyway here is workout for the day:

7 a.m. - 2 x 50 ab crunches (floor exercise)
2 x 20 bicycle crunches

6 p.m. - 3 mile run treadmill
1st mile: 9:37 (1/2 mile at 6.2mph - 1/2 mile at 6.3 mph)
2nd mile: 19:04 (1/2 mile at 6.3 - 1/2 mile at 6.4)
3rd mile: 28:22 (1/2 mile at 6.4 - 1.2 mile at 6.5)

1 x 50 ab crunches (floor)
1 x 20 bicycle crunches
2 x 20 leg lifts (floor)

diet today:
breakfast: frozen fruit smoothie w/protein powder
almond crunch granola bar
snack: mixed nuts (almonds, pistachios)
lunch: grilled chicken/potatos/corn/roll
snack:mixed nuts

haven't had dinner yet, lately I have a pb&j sandwich with some brown rice chips and nuts.

Tomorrow I will focus on upper body weights - give legs a rest.

The food change is certainly challenging. Replacing the old unhleathy, with the new healthy food. Are you using fitTracker? I have found it extremely helpful, I have never counted calories, much less broken it down between carbs, protein, and fat. Your doing gr8....keep plugging away. I've always found you just have to do it, and eventually it develops, it won't be perfect, because its new, but the more you do it, the better you will get at it. Gr8 job!

Thanks Iron. Yes I have been using the Diet Tracker nearly every day. That is how I have noticed that I'm not getting enough calories and protein level is always under the mark. I'm pretty close on total fat grams, and usually way over the mark on carbs.
I think another reason I was feeling light headed yesterday was because I only had 5 1/2 hours sleep the night before. Totally fault....I wanted to watch a tv show that came on late...knowing I would pay the price later
I had been up for 12 hours, worked an 8 hour day, hadn't eaten enough and then tried to be Superwoman on the treadmill! It just doesn't work, and I know that, so I in addition to trying to figure out eating plan, I have to remember to get enough rest too. I think I'm still in denial about age, and the fact that i just can't do everything like I used to on 5 or 6 hours sleep! :D I could launch into a whole discussion about how "when i was younger" I could work all day, party all night get about 4 hours sleep and do it all again the next day! Geez, I'm glad those days are behind me! :D The folly of youth!

LMAO....that it too funny. Not being able to do things we used to is hard to accept, but inevitable. I never partied much, but used to work day and night. Had a business, plus working nightshift at the Power Plant, like 21 hours a day at times. It paid off in alot of ways, as I was wise with the $$, but I wouldn't want to do it again.
Thats awesome ur so close on fat cal. I'm lucky to get fat below carb, not to mention where protein is.... FitTracker is pointing me right and it is improving. I figured you were using it, as it is so eye-opening. Also, good IMO that you recognized the lack of sleep etc. and thats easily foxed. So, when you startin' your new thread..."when i was younger"

Fortunately party years were short! It seemed athletic side and the party side did not go together well, thank God athletic side won out!! :D

LOL! about the new thread!!! Yeah, I could call it..."Back in Day..." and start with "back in day...we didn't have gyms, no sir...we had to lift the cow and push the tractor to work out" and there was no such thing as that contraption you call "treadmill", nope, we had to walk 40 miles to work...everyday...uphill...in the snow...barefooted!"
Lord help me if I ever start sounding like that!!! I already caught myself telling little boy..."You know we didn't have TV remote controls when I was growing up...we actually had to GET UP and walk across the room to change the channel!"

Yes were alot of tv shows received ratings they didn't necessarily deserve, due to being to lazy to get up & change the channel..

Don't even get me started about how when we were at grandparents house one of us would have to go outside and actually TURN the antenna pole to point a certain direction to pick up the channel you wanted (only got 3 channels!) and someone else would yell out the window..."a little more...little more...little more....STOP!!! THAT'S IT!" :D :D :D
Ahhh...the good ole' days

Rested legs today & just did upper body weights. Felt good today, no lightheadedness.

2x15 Seated Rows 1@44lbs. & 1@56lbs.
2x15 Back Extensions @ 56lbs.
2x20 weighted ab crunches @ 44lbs.
2x15 Bench Press @ 44lbs.
2x15 Lat Pulldowns @ 56lbs.
1x15 Tricep Pressdown @ 31lbs.
1x10 Tricep Pressdown @ 44lbs.

arms are toast, very tired :( , but that's a good thing right? :D

Lynne - you are funny!!! If not a tread here (and I think it's worth a shot in Open Chat) I think you've got a book in you! I'd buy it!

Thanks for the laughs !

Could have been worse, you could have been one of those people that had to stand in the front room, holding a portable ariel in the air, and possibly balance on one Leg.

I've heard that can happen, but never witnessed it first hand

I imagine your arms would be tired yes :) Though I cant comment on isolation exercizes, such as tri & bi's cos I gave them up, the compound body movement technique, seems to work them without having to do them seperately, u r working out at gym or at home ? Best wishes for continued success.Cheers :) Oh & ps, yes abt the antenna, somethin abt peoples proximity to the antenna also, soon as they moved away the fuzz came bk:| Often was times when one said..yes stand there & don't move ;)
