I was so excited today, I got to go to old gym to workout!

Of course it cost me $10 at the door since I'm not a member anymore

...but it was worth it. I felt like a kid in a candy store! I wanted to do everything! But quickly got overwhelmed

Alot had changed, there were alot of new weight machines I had no idea how to operate. I've never really worked with free weights much so I didn't even no where to start. Thought about trying a deadlift, but without someone to show me proper techique, I chickened out.

I just stuck to the things I knew. Here is how it went:
Warmed up on the elliptical for 10 minutes at 200 or so rpm at level 12, resistance at 4 (did just over a mile). Had to listen to two girls chatting nonstop on the two machines next to me "working out", but somehow never breaking a sweat or getting out of breath...geez, some things never change!
Went from there to:
3x15 @ 70lbs. bench press
alternating (thanks for teaching me that Bonnie!

) with crunches 3x10
2x20 @ 80lbs. weighted ab crunch
2x20 @ 50lbs. Front Lat pull downs
alternating with inclined oblique crunches 2x20
2x20 @ 45lbs. shoulder press? (seated with arms at sides, bent at the elbow & on each side a padded bar...you raise your arms up and out, kind of like a chicken flapping its wings

and back down)
3x15 @ 30lbs. tri cep press downs
all of these with the exception of the lat pull downs, tricep press downs and regular & inclined crunches were done on Nautilus machines
(I think I just heard Swanso scream NOOOOOOO..anything but Nautilus machines!!!?

)
Anyway I saved favorite for next to last:
3x12 Hanging leg raises, twisting from side to side working the obliques.
I had to go into the "mens" weight room to do these...kinda intimidating...I swear I felt two or three chest hairs spring out on me just from all the testostorone in the air!!!!

But I did leg raises and took own sweet time with them too! Hey, I'm gonna get 10 bucks worth, ya know and I ain't letting some massive weight lifting hulk stop me!
Finished up with a 10 minute run on the indoor track. Felt really good to be back in the gym, really miss it. Awesome workout...felt 10 feet tall & bullet proof walking out of there!
Have a great day guys!!
