Sun.

Elliptical--HIIT--30 min. 3.8 miles

Mon.

Deads--1x6x115, 1x6x165, 1x6x165
Lunges--1x12xBW, 2x12x16lb.
Bench Press--3x8x135
Seated Close Grip Row--3x12x120, 1x7x120
Mil. Press--3x6x70
Wide Grip Pulldown--3x12x70

The last two sets of deads were a strain. I hadn't really fealt alot of resistance until now, as I'm trying to work in slow to hopefully avoid injury.
Lunges are something totally new to me, and require some balance...... :)
Mil. Press, to front, these were a strain for the last few reps also.
Bench, a strain, but feeling more natural, reps already up.

Okay, Iron...if that's a Progress picture of you so far, I'd think it's safe to say....YOU'RE OVER DOING IT A TAD!!!!

That is the weirdest looking creature I have ever seen. I can even imagine what it must feel like to carry that much bulk around with you....and forget about finding clothes that fit!!

LMAO......no I'll never look like that. I had seen several comments about people not being able to post pics in threads, so I found a pic to see if I remembered how to do it. Thought this would be a funny one. I found the pic, right clicked on it, then clicked properties, the properties comes up, and there is a URL addressin the properties page, I copied that, then hit the IMG, ahh just above where I'm writing, tools, I guess, and pasted the url address between the two IMG images, and voila it worked.

Oh, sorry didn't mean to scare anyone.....

I've seen that before. It's an exaggerated pic. It's not physically possible anyway.

The real you has no head!?! aaaaak! LOL! Just kiddin' ya.
Lookin' good Iron! I can also tell from your other pics on your profile that your back is taking on some more definition and looks wider. Even your calves look bigger! Keep up the hard work, it is paying off! Have a great Labor Day weekend! Doesn't some grilled chicken and shrimp kabobs sound good?..yummmm :D

Thanks a million, Lynne. I have quite a bit more tan than first pics, so I wasn't sure if it was just that or if I was starting to take a better shape. numbers show an 1" less in the waste, but gains everywhere else, so it's encouraging. Grilled chicken sounds awesome, I'll let you have all the shrimp. Believe that, a guy from Maine who doesn't care for shrimp. Just isn't right. Maybe a grilled chicken kabob....... :) Hope you have a gr8 weekend also. Sposed to be beautiful up here.

Thanks Nokie, I really appreciate that. Yea, that other pic is pretty crazy. I totally cracked up when I saw it.

Thurs.

Short workout after 15 hour workday. I was supposed to lift wed. morning before work, but was still pretty sore, so gave an extra days rest.

Squats--12x65, 6x95, 7x105, 5x105 (ping in knee, so I stopped)
RDL's--3x12x8 per leg. These require some balance.... :)
Bench--12x95, 9x135, 6x145, 7x145

Sat.

Deads--12x95WU, 3x12x165
Lunges--3x12x22.5
Bench 3x8x135
Mil. Press--12x45WU, 3x8x65
Wide grip pulldown--12x50WU, 3x12x80
Close grip Row-- 12x50wu, 3x8x130

This was the first day I lost a little ground on anything. It was a long day spent on the ocean at a Big Daddy Weave concert. Tons of sun, and I didn't eat like I normally would. Pretty beat when we got home. Didn't get in the gym til 8pm. Overall happy though, got a good pump, tore things up, so not too concerned about the weight.

Are you adding the 20 minutes steady state after the intervals? Or are you just repeating the intervals for 25 minutes then doing the cool down for 5 minutes?
I think the protein shake is good after the workout, to help the leg muscles repair and recover faster.
