Spirutein is delicious! http://www.spiru-tein.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
I usually make it with almond milk and I almost feel bad drinking it because it's so good.

I think everybody should be reading the labels that contain valuable information about the whey protein or creatine or whichever supplement you choose. It will give you an idea of how it will react with your body. whey protein

I'd recommend something like Reflex Instant Whey or Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard Whey.

Pros: Both include BCAA's and glutamine (Reflex having higher levels than ON) which help with recovery, the optimum nutrition doesn't taste that bad (only tried vanilla though)

Cons: Not cheap both about £40 here in the UK (not sure how much for the U.S.) Reflex does taste a bit funky, but then I don't buy these things for the taste

Personally, I think protein is one supplement that shouldn't be skimped on. Everyone has different circumstances, but buy the best protein you can afford and read the ingredients. I like to see a good nutritional profile on the tub so you know the amounts of what types of protein you're actually getting in each scoop.

Hope this helps in some small way :)

Nutrisport Protein and Complex Carbs.

A few ingredients only, Glutamine and BCAA's in ramped up amounts and around £15 for a 3lb tub.

Good quality and mixes well.

wife has noticed a pretty big difference in how much I don't complain anymore after a hard workout. Could this be do to the whey protein I've been using? Reason why I ask is because she feels really soar after she works out and wants to know if she would be able to use it to. question is are there protein supplements for men and seperate supplements for women or could we share the same whey?protein supplements for men

Try mixing the strawberry one with milk and a banana. I've been having chocolate with milk or water for almost a year now. You can also try vanilla with bluberries.

Strawberry-Banana Frost
Mix one serving of strawberry whey according to directions. Then, add 1 ripe banana and 3 ice cubes. Blend at high speed for 45 seconds and serve.

Fruit Smoothie
2 scoops Designer Whey Strawberry
4 large strawberries
blueberries ( a small handful)
water (just a few drops)
1/2 C ice

I'm just wondering whether there actually is a "best protein shake" since there's so many that make that claim. I'm trying to gain a bit of weight and muscle and am unsure of what I should be looking for in a protein shake. Suggestions?? best protein shake

Some people say On Whey, or PVL Gourmet.

Nutrisport make good products.

The bets kind are the no frills kind. Hype, marketing and too many ingredients ramping up the price are for the birds.

Get yourself a basic one, with Whey and Carbs and it's really all you need. Cheap and good to go stuff. Your bank balance will thank you and if it takes you another 3-6 months to get results compared to expensive hype ones, then good, because good things are worth waiting for.

bf LOVES Muscle Milk...we get the 5.5lb pack (of powder) for $45, which isn't bad because it lasts quite a while :) I hate the taste of the majority of protein shakes but I actually like this one.
