So perhaps someone on here has an idea of what kind of exercises i should be doing for strengthening body for types of street dance, like hip hop or krump. I'm just so used to having goals, that i want to take this seriously, and commit to it. Yeah, so far dance is just a passion for me, as there are no dance battles, or even people who dance in community, but right now it's the only real goal i have. I'm awesome at dancing different forms, have learned many different styles of dance, but not good at following choreography, no short term memory, and things look backwards to me.
Perhaps any dancers could give me tips on how to learn choreography for people who have learning disabilities. Because i would love to join a class, or even find people, and have individuals to dance side by side with. But i tend to get right mixed up with left.
Just wondering what other dancers do in their workouts to keep in shape for dance. Yeah i know dance is a workout in itself, but you have to be really strong and fit in order to dance.
Also on the subject of dance, i want to learn how to overcome embarrassing fear of heights.

and i need to start off easy, and overcome fear of it first. I don't even know how to do a cartwheel or a hand stand, which is embarrassing to admit. I don't know why it scares me so much. And i know i won't take myself seriously as a dancer unless i can defy gravity. I was just wondering if someone could give me any tips on how to get over that ridiculous fear, and how to begin? I also don't know much about flips, and breakdancing, and air stunts, so im not sure what parts of body i will need to strengthen for that. Any ideas?
And thanks!
