Whey protein affected ....

Post by drdan123 »

hi ;

i am 30 years old.
weight = 64 kg
height = 6.1
Just started weight training.
As a beginner i was very exited and ordered Whey protein(10 lbs packaging).
I started to take it after workout. The instructions said to mix 4 scoops with liquid . But i found the scoop too deep so i used teaspoons instead.
4 teaspoons i mixed in MILK WITH BANANA, DAILY.
After 2, 3 days i felt a little pain in groin area, just above the right Testicle. then the next day i could feel the pain when i lift leg for even walking. the pain was bearable.
friends advised me to stop whey protein intake immidietly and drink more water. pain disappered when i acted upon their advice.

so tell me guys; did i overtake the whey protein ?
does it happen often to bodybuilders ?
waht is the usual dosage for whey protein and how frequently it is taken?

one more thing i was not doing really intense exercise at that time. i was going like, 1 day biceps , 1 day chest , and so on.

should i continue with whey protein or try something else.

please reply, and do tell me your experiences.

sincerely

- 4 scoops??? i don;t think so...how much protein do you get per scoop?...you only need 30g max
- fruit is only required before training not after...after you need a sugary cerial, rice, pasta or bread
- if your not drinking enough water than protein is hard for the kidney's to digest...i wouldn't have thought to be the problem with liquid protein though but as stated above, you only 30g max per shake, maye start at 20 and see how you go
- shakes are only needed after weight training, no other time
- use full body workouts, not bodypart splits...search 'the waterbury method" by chad waterbury and do as written

lol

I said that with a feeling of gratitude for swanso5

i hve started full body workout now, the one that says "repeat until failure".

but after work out i feel so exhausted that i cant even lift arm .
I feel so dead and tired, unable to do anything whole day long.

Is there any nutritional aid for that ?

Sincerely
dr.dan

Yes, try getting a Protein shake with Complex Carbs in it.

Or if you need a meal, have something like Chicken Breast, or Lean Turkey as possible examples, then add something high GI in there, like Wheat-bread to make a sandwhich, or a small portion of Brown or Wild Rice as another example with the Flesh.

You need to refuel tired muscles, and I think these options are ones to think about.

Even though I live about 3,000+ miles away in Britain, I think I just heard Daltons aching Heart creak, from the sheer weight of dissapointment :wink:.

if you read his facebook interests his interests are chicks with assess he can eat ice cream off so if you don;t fit that category nthen i think your safe

repeat until failure isn't the greteast method, i usually keep a rep in the tank most of the time so i can always progress but i always reach rep target too every session...haven't missed one in ages

=D cereal is healthier right?
You sound like your speaking from experience Dalts. No wonder your folks think your school grades are a bit off, they must think you're getting distracted, by bad girls with Cheerios up their Butt :wink:.
