Re: Can ab exercises be done every day?
core should get worked during a major lift. no need to isolate them. but then I feel like this about every muscle group. Isolations make me sad. I'm not saying they are a waste of time, i'm just saying that doing them everyday won't benefit much more than doing them every other day. And doing abs e...

Re: Need advice on some low cholesterol foods.
You amaze me with all your knowledge and thank you for sharing 1) High cholesterol is linked very strongly with 2 things: Saturated fat and Trans fat. Both of these should be limited. Trans fat is artificial and found in processed foods, though the new "thing" is 0 trans fat foods, so this...

Re: Fish Oil Pills
Egg yolks aren't going to be an issue, especially at 1 1/2 per day. Well that is what I thought but I have to figure out what is causing the rise and figured I would start there. diet has been pretty stable the last 9 months and why the cholesterol is rising is something I don't understand. I am al...

Re: Fish Oil Pills
HDL being in the high 40's to low 50's wasn't ideal, as less than 40mg's is definitely a no-no, but your current reading of 80+, is much better. Yes it could be a bad thing if it contributed to a Total Cholesterol reading fo 200+, but in this case LDL is the one and it's not too high over the 100mg...

Re: Fish Oil Pills
wtach the saturated and trans fat intakes. both have a very nasty effect on cholesterol levels. Thanks and I have been for the most part but I think I was slacking a little on eating and also coming out of the holidays I am sure didn't help and plus I think I need to drop the egg yolks as I was eat...

Re: Fish Oil Pills
Excellent on Triglycerides. LDL only really needs to drop 15 minimum, so that's good. Thanks but again kind of disappointed with the over all results since I have been really good and working out like crazy as well but maybe the holiday food was still in the system and may have contributed to the r...

Fish Oil Pills
Hello Everyone, I was wondering what people thought about taking these? I have been taking 4 a day and was disappointed in that latest cholesterol readings went up by about 20 points to 210. I have been off pills since July and want to stay off them and thought these would help. I noticed these have...

Re: Alcohol
I love beer and will never ever give it up. I drink on Saturday and Sunday's for the most part along with 1-2 glasses of red wine everynight as well. I have been able to maintain weight no problem at all no matter how much or little I drink I never really see a big difference.

Re: How to lose weight: is stopping food ingestion the key?
Great post you are so right about that. I have friends that are trying to loose and the 1st thing they do is stop eating and I explain that food is not the enemy but what and how much you eat is. Some get it and most don't I have given up and worry only about myself now.
